Who Is Mr. Furley?

Mr. Furley is a three-piece rock band based in Western Pennsylvania.  Among the three guys in the band, there are nearly 60 years of collective musical performance experience, with resumes featuring bands like Absence of L, Cave, Mind's I, Peacefield, Plastik Eddy, and so on.  We're not gonna lie to you... we know what we're doing.

We play a wide variety of music from bands you know, and maybe a few that aren't familiar to you.  Our repertoire includes songs by AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Ben Folds Five, The Cult, CCR, Rage Against The Machine, Weezer, Spoon, The Beatles, Local H, Smashing Pumpkins, U2, Beastie Boys, Eminem, James Gang, White Stripes, Alice in Chains, The Verve Pipe, Foo Fighters, and a lot more.

The Band

Jason hits things with sticks.  He's developed quite a knack for it, so we put him behind a drum kit and he's just pleased as punch.  Jason is a native of Butler, PA.  He actually graduated from high school with Jamie (our guitarist / singer).  Jason attended college at IUP where he played with Absence of L, a very successful band who Scott vaguely remembers seeing perform at Penn State during his tenure there.  (Scott was drunk most of the time he was in college, so the fact that he remembers anything from his tenure in Happy Valley borders on the miraculous).  Jason is also the drummer for the  band Mind's I.  In his spare time Jason pilots ultralite aircraft, composes haiku poetry, and collects shiny stones.  Jason plays GMS drums and hardware.

Scott is the tall guy with the spikey hair and dorky glasses.  He plays bass and sings.  He is also the web nerd for the band, so if you find something mis-spelled, or otherwise incorrect on this site, you should send him hate mail.  Scott lives in Saxonburg and loves the whole "small town thing."  He is a graduate of Penn State (Go Lions!) and is not afraid to say that JoePa needs to retire.  Scott is a founding member of the band Mind's I, and has played with The Weasels and CCM band Clockwise Scarlett. In his spare time, he enjoys getting too worked up over Steelers football and Penguins Hockey, recycling used Whoopie Cushions, and playing semi-pro Bocce.

Jamie plays guitar, sings, and engages in mirthful banter with the audience.  As mentioned above, Jamie attended Butler High School where he graduated with Jason.  Like Jason, Jamie is also a graduate of IUP, where he studied mechanical engineering.  Immediately following graduation, Jamie made use of his education while on multiple North American tours with the crew of the famous vehicle-munching Truckasaurus.  He has also been very active in the regional music scene over the years, having performed with Peacefield, Plastik Eddy, Cave, and most recently Mind's I. In his spare time, Jamie dabbles in theoretical astrophysics, is an amateur ghost hunter, and a semi-pro bowler.  He splits his time between his residence in Butler and his Chateau in the Alps.
